With 40 years of guiding under his belt, he’s a living encyclopedia of the canyon’s geology, wildlife, weather, and river dynamics. He can also quote Zinn, Chomsky and every episode of The Simpsons from season 1 through 9 on command. Just don’t ask him if he still watches today.
“Better than Google” he’s quick to tell you, although how could he know? He doesn’t "do" the internet, and besides, there’s no reception down there anyway- just how he likes it.
